The TApp Room in Boone

We came in because it had so many good reviews, I wish we didn’t listen. If you’re looking for a college hang out then that’s your go to place. The server was TERRIBLE! She was more concerned with being on her phone the whole time we were there. Then when we were about to leave, she was trying to rush us out the door. Gave us the wrong order, Took the high chair from my daughter even though we were still using it, taking things off the table when we weren’t finished eating and seemed overall too preoccupied with everything else but her actual job. But what really set this restaurant off was all three of us got FOOD POISONING! Food was good, but apparently not good in quality. I don’t recommend going here at all.

Cozy bar right next to campus. Reasonably priced for the location. Has a good selection of local and other beers.

Went during a slow time on a weekday. Our waitress seemed to disappear for long periods of time, showing up with our food and checks. Food was decent, typical bar food.

Knowledgeable, friendly, clean, good prices. Not much else you need to know. Only bar I go to when I am in Boone.

Great fried food to go with alcohol served, to keep that hangover away. I stopped in after catching a show for my mom's birthday at nearby Schaffer Center and instantly we (with my mom, especially) became the oldest people in the place, which reminded me of my college days. Not a bad thing. The waitress was nice, service was fast and portions large. We mostly ordered lots of appetizers and they came out blazing hot. You could tell that they had been made to order and hadn't sat in a window for 2 hours. I found the mozzarella bites to be especially delicious since you could tell they had been actually made on site, rather than from a bag they keep in the freezer. All in all a great experience for a small college town gastropub.

We sat there for twenty minutes and no one even so much as acknowledged us to say, "We'll get you in a minute!" It was absolutely ridiculous and I will not be going back.

Although this is largely a college bar, that doesn't mean it doesn't have great food and service: it does! As someone old enough to be the parent of a college student, I can highly recommend this place for lunch and drinks when you want to watch your favorite teams. Don't let the location and exterior deter you: this place does the job.

Almost never have decent bands, mostly just get any band who wants a stage to enter, no quality control. They also lost my credit card which was never found so had to order replacement after.

Wednesday nights : $2 tacos and corona! Awesome atmosphere, trendy college crowd and plenty of entertainment since they annexed the adjacent space. Darts, billiards, ski ball and and a second bar.

The absolute worse service of anywhere in Boone. You can wait 10 to 15 mins in this place before you are even acknowledged. Waitresses can't get off their damn phones, running around with long hair not pulled back. It's just wrong.

I love frequenting TAPP for their specials. However please keep in mind it is a COLLEGE bar. It's always crowded and rowdy. But the food is exceptional even when the service can not be.

Staff is great. Great place to be in Boone, especially late at night. The events they host are pretty cool. Even the bouncers late at night are good people. Parking there is rough, better to have a ride there and back. Nevertheless, you have a good hardworking staff and it shows. Worth spending time there. Keep up the good work. Although this place does not appear attractive from the outside, inside there are great food and drink options. They have a variety of craft beer on tap and have daily specials. The food is much better than your typical bar.

This is a great bar with great service. The tacos are good, the wings are good, and the drafts are honestly great. I go here a lot and I haven't ever had a bad experience.

Started including gratuity on to go orders. Do not inform you they are till after they give you the bill. Keep getting my order wrong what's so hard about no onion. I deliver orders to people and they are asking why they are paying gratuity. I should not be eating that cost. I will not be back and I will not reference people to this place, until I hear from management to see if they even care.

The servers were really friendly! However, we arrived there with an about an hour and half to eat lunch. Our server brought our drinks and took our order and then didn’t check on us for 40 minutes. I went in to ask about our order and was told the kitchen was a bit backed up, but it would be out. After another 20 minutes with no contact, I left cash to cover our drinks and we went to the Subway next door to get lunch. Disappointing, but they get two stars for having friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Just wish we could’ve eaten there, too!

So the first two beers we ordered were out, then the music that was supposed to start at 10, that charged a cover charge has not started bettas of 10:30.....

Recently ordered wings online expecting them to be the price of what was on the menu online. The price online was $14 but when I went to pick-up they charged me $20. I told them their online menu said it was $14, the girl at the register said it must've not updated and when I said $14 was what I expected to pay she rolled her eyes and walked away. I've never been so TAPPed out of patience. But seriously, there was no reason for that.

The dishes were creative and prepared with fresh ingredients. I had the shrimp tacos, and they were light, full of fresh flavors and plenty. Lots of different beers on tap. And, right across campus. To me, best place to eat in Boone.

Great place but limited parking. Largely a college bar while the University is in session. Great food, simple menu: burgers, wings, tacos, apps type stuff...but all wonderful. Beer selection is probably the best in Boone.

New bartender named Brooke was a hit with our whole party of 8! She was hilarious and really fun to talk with! 10/10 definitely should get a raise!

Tapp room is a local secret. While it's best known for it's good selection of beer, it also has some of the best food around.

Decent stop for lunch. I had the tequila shrimp tacos. Pretty tasty, especially with their hot sauce put on it. The tots were amazing. Perfectly cooked. Lunch on a Monday we were the only people in the place.

Great friendly staff. Food is ok. Fun environment and great drink selection.

I’ve called multiple times for the phone to only ring and then non stop beeping. What does that mean? Am I on hold? Is the line busy? I wouldn’t know! Most places if they need to put you on hold they will answer the darn phone and let the customer know. This is so frustrating >:(

Lots of beers on tap. Food is decent. Lots of tvs to watch the game.
